Icon Foundation was organized in 1971, receiving federal qualification in 1972/73 as a fully tax exempt 501(c)(3)
Educational and Charitable Foundation.


In the beginning, during the 70s, Ralph Mehrkens, at that time  Chairman of The Board of Santa Clara County
Supervisors (CA),  and Ed. Carranza, owner at that time, of American Business College, were just two of a large
group of influential individuals lending enthusiastic support to the foundation's programs. The foundation's
current management group includes several members of Howard Rolfe's family, and several long time business
associates.

Marie (Nicky) Rolfe.  Retired from business.                  
Founder of a private entity,  the Executives
Group, a business consulting organization
assisting private and public corporations.
In past years, Rolfe has served as an  
officer and  director of both private and public
corporations, having hands-on familiarity with
methods of the Security Exchange Commission.
She has many years of in-depth business and
finance experience. Educated in the US and Europe.  
Icon International Foundation was
founded in 1971 by  Howard N. Rolfe with
daughter Nicky and including other family
members.
Frank (Derek) Lasiter.  Served the financial
industry for over 20 years in managerial positions
with such as Morris Plan Corporation of  
California , American General and American
General & the Hammond Company, was a
consultant with the Executives Group
and  is currently with a medical supply company.
For a period of  years Lasiter presided over a very
popular faith based non profit charity oriented  
radio program. He spends most of his free hours
per week involved with children's activities and
programs connected with the school his children
attend.    
Harold D. Blethen.  Mr. Blethen served Pacific
Gas and Electric (PG&E) in California in
mid-management positions including positions
responsible for purchasing for the departments
for nearly 30 years. He owns Vision Scope, a
company which markets vision enhancement
products for persons visually impaired to varying
degrees. He is a long time member of the non
profit Lyons Club, a charitable, public service
organization. He has been retired from PG&E for
about 17 years  
Nicholette Rae Vaughn.  Senior Commercial Lines
Field Underwriter for over 15 years, handling
among the largest accounts of  companies
including Fireman's Fund, Transamerica, CAN
and Atlantic Mutual, with 120 agency plants and
approximately 1,000 agents under her.  Vaughn
also owned a water company, and dealt extensively
with state  / government utilities commissions,
environmental control and health departments.  
She changed career directions, became a
photographer and an editor for the U.S. Journal,
plus collaborating on articles, interviews and book
reviews published in the Journal. She held strong
preferences for articles relevant to abused and
homeless children and animal cruelty. She
attended University of Nevada.e.
William H. Baker.  Has for nearly 29 years been
involved in business as manager, accountant  or chief
financial officer. From 1987 to 1992 he served as loan
manager for First Security Mortgage Company. He was
a commercial real estate broker for a period of years.
From 1997 to the present he has been Managing
partner of W. H. Baker & Co. an accounting and tax
preparation firm and Managing Partner of W. H. Baker
Investments Partnership, an investment company. His
associations with corporations is extensive, serving
often as president or chief financial officer. He is a
graduate of  San Diego State University, majoring in
business administration
Garry C. Duncan.  Duncan is a graduate of the
University of California at Los Angeles, plus he has
steadily attended many post graduate courses over the
years, and seminars in such as Law & Finance, Market
Trends & Perspectives,  Management and Accounting.
He has extensive experience as a manager of business
and people. He holds both a personal real estate brokers
license and a Caldwell Banker broker license. Duncan
is a certified general real estate appraiser
with`extensive experience performing in-depth
feasibility studies; 27 years in finance, development of
bond programs; extensive experience with
environmental protection agencies and is an Expert
Witness for Superior Courts in California. Duncan's
clients number in the  hundreds, including:
governmental agencies, cities, counties, state and
federal agencies. His dealings include major U.S. and
international banks, etc.. He has been a top executive of
an oil and gas company, has had extensive experience
with the Securities Exchange Commission and has
been a partner managing principal of Duncan, Duncan
& Associates for 24 years.
Robert E. McMillan.   McMillan is a Certified
Financial Examiner, and while he no longer
performs as a state or federally contracted
Examiner, he has a history of 23+ years as an
Examiner in Charge / Senior Insurance Company
Examiner. Besides numerous other companies he
performed Examinations of many multi-billion
dollar Fortune 500 Companies;  has in-depth
knowledge of operations of both public and private
companies and the methods of the Securities
Exchange Commission. He graduated from the
University of Central Florida  majoring  in
quantitative economics; post graduate studies at
University of West Florida with a major thesis in
oil & Gas. ( CFE, CPA, MBA, BSBA)
Dennis J, O'Leary.  O'Leary, currently retired, was
for many years a sought after consulting
environmental expert and systems design engineer
for the water and pollution control industries and
international business in the U>.S., Australia,
Italy, China, Korea and Pakistan. From 1955 to
1990 Mr. O'Leary as founder, owned and controlled
Shamrock Engineering Corp., a consulting firm
which  also manufactured environmental
equipment. Among the many items he  personally
designed and his firm manufactured: 10 different
systems to treat industrial wastewater and toxic  
exhaust systems; skid mounted purification
systems for third world countries including China
to treat polluted river water where over 400 million
people  live in small to medium sized villages; and
2 systems being used successfully in the nuclear
power industry. As a 49% partner with the
Samsonite (Luggage) Company established
manufacturing plants in various parts of the world
to produce such as scrubbers to counteract air
pollution and many other items. He is a graduate
of the University of Santa Clara Santa Clara
California plus  with many years of post graduate
studies.
Michael Howard Price.  Price has served as an officer in
private companies periodically over 25+ years, He
acquired extensive internal business operations
experience functioning as  business management
assistant to Nicky Rolfe.  In recent years headed the
technology dept for the Executives Group, and  the U.S
Journal. From education and past years, Price has
extensive background in structural engineering and
fluid dynamic engineering, He has participated in
building oil refineries,  off shore oil derick platforms, a
winery and other structures. He performed over-site on
important properties owned by several consultants in
the Executives Group and even  became a professional
photographer on a pert time basis. He currently
functions full time for Icon.
